Carol K. Bondy MBA, CMPE

Carol Knight Bondy is a founding partner and co-owner of Center for the Healing Arts, LLC, an integrative holistic wellness practice in Charlotte, NC whose mission is to offer an innovative model of wellness collaborating with healthcare and other professionals and the communities they serve, to promote preventive care, education and healing.

She also serves as Managing Partner of Southbridge Partners, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in project management for the healthcare industry and non-profit organizations since 2006.   Carol has extensive experience in healthcare management as Administrator/CEO of both private primary care and specialty medical practices, and as consultant/advisor to hospital systems in the development of physician networks.  Carol assisted in the start-up of the Family Medicine Program in Hendersonville, NC and served as a consultant to Carolinas Healthcare System (now Atrium) teaching practice management and providing life coaching services to third-year family medicine residents.   It was in working with the residents over a nine-year period that Carol realized the importance of sharing her combined personal and professional experiences as well as her research on well-being in order to help create a new model for others.

Carol’s passion for positive change in healthcare combined with her personal interests in integrative medicine resulted in a twenty-year quest privately researching concepts for an integrative wellness model blending both traditional Western (allopathic) medicine with integrative modalities under one system of delivery.  Since opening Center for the Healing Arts in 2014, Carol has rekindled her desire to bring a whole-person wellness approach to her coaching of individuals working in the healthcare industry as well as consulting with healthcare organizations that are ready to make the paradigm shift to a culture of wellness.

Carol holds an MBA from McColl School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, NC, is certified as a Medical Practice Executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).  Carol currently serves as secretary of the NAWBO-Charlotte board.  Carol received coaching training through the International Coach Academy, is a trained Reiki practitioner and has studied at The Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA with Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil and Martha Beck. Carol has satisfied all the requirements, successfully passed all examinations and has been certified as a Primordial Sound Meditation™ Instructor through The Chopra Center.  Carol completed her studies with Dr. Lissa Rankin in the 2014 inaugural class of the Whole Health Medicine Institute in San Francisco.  Being a life-long learner, Carol graduated from the Duke Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare in February 2017.  Carol has completed the requirements for certification in the Actualized Leader Profile© and the Group Culture Profile© through William L. Sparks & Associates, LLC.  Additionally, Carol completed the HeartMath® Coach/Mentor Certification Program in July 2019 and enjoys using HeartMath® in her daily life as well as with her coaching/mentoring clients.

Carol lives in Charlotte with her husband, Ross Pegg, and loves living close to her three grown children, Cory Walton, Kelly Hembree and Natalie O’Connor and spending time with them and their families. Carol loves being in nature, sailing, meditation and yoga.
